The Waveterm B contained all of the later Waveterm A. features, (such as the 5" disk drives), plus added a Motorola 68000 CPU, 16-bit sampling, and a new operating system.

An interesting feature of the Waveterm B was it's backwards-compatability. Even though it's CPU was a 68000 it still retained the original 6809 processor. It could be booted as a Waveterm A by using the proper system disk.
