2.2/2.3/EVU MIDI sys-ex editor

Below is a screen shot of the PPG editor which was designed in Emagic's Logic Environment and requires Logic or Logic Audio to run. It was built using the Sys-Ex info from the PPG midi page. Using this same information it is possible to build a similar editor in other sequencing packages such as Cubase, Studio Vision, etc.

The editor allows remote control of all PPG Wave front panel knobs plus program change, pitch bend, modulation and note on/off via the virtual keyboard. Additionally, bank select is available for the Wave 2.3 and the EVU.

All editor controls may be automated via Logic by manipulating the various objects while in record mode. Each object outputs midi values from 0-127, however the onscreen displays function in accordance with PPG's 0-63 scale. This is helpful in retaining the PPG "feel".

The editor is invauluable for those who might posses only an EVU. Since the EVU has no front panel editing controls it previously required a Wave keyboard or Waveterm to perform sound editing. This is no longer nessesary as the editor works with a stand-alone EVU. (Provided it has a midi interface installed and version 3.0 or higher software).
